We have moved...

Updated: Apr 15

Woo-hoo! we're thrilled to share our exciting news with all our members and supporters. After careful consideration and planning, our club is embarking on a new journey, a move to a brand-new location in the Old Ipswich Courthouse, and we couldn't be more excited about the opportunities and possibilities it brings.

We have moved to the Old Ipswich Courthouse cnr East & Roderick Sts, Ipswich
Ipswich Mini Crafters on the move

Why we moved?

The decision to move our club to a new location was not made lightly. We've been evaluating our current space and considering factors such as accessibility, facilities, and future growth potential. Our new home provides us with a very large room to craft in and we gain a palatial storage room for all our craft materials, resources and tools. We're not kidding we could meet in our storage room.

A little history..

As some of you may know we began our life as Karalee Mini Crafters and met at the Rob Thompson Community Hall at Karalee for many very happy years until the centre was taken over by the Karalee Playgroup. In 2009 we moved to the QCWA hall in Cameron Park, Booval, though not as spacious as our previous home the price was right and we made do. This is when we decided to rebrand and become the Ipswich Mini Crafters. We spent about 10 years in this hall until we were advised of a rent increase so hunted around and in 2019 were taken in by the Ipswich Historical Society where the Spinners, Weavers & Fibre Artisans of Ipswich kindly shared their space with us, it's through this alliance that we learned of a vacancy at the Old Ipswich Courthouse. It'll be a financial stretch for us but we feel the gained space and dedicated storage room will enable our group to enthusiastically welcome new members with the full confidence we will be able to offer them a seat at the craft table and the ability to easily access our resources and tools will better meet our creative desires.

Come and visit!

We invite all our members and supporters to pop in, say hello and have a stickybeak, entry via the front door off East St. Your continued support and enthusiasm are invaluable as we work towards creating an even better experience for everyone involved.

Thank you for being part of our club's journey. Here's to the exciting adventures that lie ahead!
